Roderick Booker - Lead Pastor

The Reverend Roderick Centell Booker, He accepted Christ at age 17, and was baptized on December 13, 2000, at the Greater Mt. Baker Missionary Baptist Church by Pastor Kenneth J. Ransfer, Sr. 


Rev. Booker is an accomplished young man. He is a graduate from Franklin High School; he earned his B.A. In Sociology from the University of Washington and received his Masters in Theology and Culture from Northwest University. 


Rev. Booker is a devoted family man. Not only is a committed son and brother, but he is also a devoted husband to Rosa Booker, and loving father to Joshua and Emme Lee Booker. He works as a College and Career Access Specialist at Evergreen High School and Head JV Girls Basketball Coach.


He has served as a faithful member of the ministerial staff, president of the A.B.L.E Men's ministry, on the Pastor's Aid ministry and prayer ministry, and a Sunday school teacher. He has also served as part of the Chairman of the Children and Youth Advisory Council. He was also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, incorporated.


In September of 2002, Rev. Booker announced his call to the ministry. He was licensed to preach the Gospel in March 2003, and ordained in November 2012. He has continued to sharpen his teaching and preaching skills as God has filled him with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. With each passing Day, He feels the pressing realness of this calling and diligently prepared for the next level of ministry as the Lead pastor of LifePoint Church, a role he took over in November 2019. 

Mike Hobby - Associate Pastor

Mike has been on staff at Lifepoint since 2011. He lead the kids ministry prior to his current role as Associate Pastor. 


Mike is a husband to his wife Angie and father to his Daughter Mallory. They also are foster parents to Jazmyn and Amagine.  


By Vocation, Mike is the Director of Training for ACT Holdings. Mike's has Certifications from Christian Counseling Education Foundation in Biblical Counseling and is a certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner for 6 Seconds. Counseling people and helping them grow in Christ is Mikes' passion in life.

Aimee Lenger - Secretary

Aimee is happily married to Gil, and she homeschools their son, Jedidiah. She earned her B.A. at Northwest University and also holds certification from the Gemological Institute of America in the Graduate Diamonds and Graduate Pearls programs.

 

The Lengers have attended LifePoint since 2006, and Aimee became the church’s Administrative Assistant in 2009. A lifelong church attendee, Aimee grew up in Renton and has followed Jesus since the age of three.

 

In addition to her staff duties, Aimee serves LifePoint as a greeter, sings on the worship team, and occasionally leads Bible studies. Her hobbies include spending time with family, cooking, traveling, reading, writing, editing, and bargain hunting.

Bill Boone - Chairman

Bill and his wife, Lori, have been attending LifePoint for 15 years. They have been married 40 years. Along with Chairing the Guiding board, he also leads our sound tech ministry, set up team and is an all around handy man.

richard Cathcart - Treasurer

Richard has been a member of LifePoint for over 6 years. He's been a Christian since he was 8 years old and has been involved with Church ever since. He has been married to his lovely wife, Amanda, since August 4, 2012. 


Richard works at Google on Maps as a project manager, he has worked at Google since May 2013. He enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy novels, along with an occasional mystery or thriller. He also plays video games and weather permitting, he likes to hike our scenic NW mountain trails. 

Christina Gonzalez

Cristina Gonzalez has been with LifePoint church in Renton for about a 12 years. She holds the position of Secretary within the Guiding Board of the church. Her main interests are social activities and helping with putting away the stuff at the end of church and loading the truck. She's a mother of 4 and a has 5 grandchildren which she brings to church as often as she can. She was raised Catholic and went to a nun's school in Madrid, Spain. Her husband, who was a born again Christian also of former catholic background, brought brought Christ. She became a Christian in 1989 or so in Miami, Florida and was baptized in the ocean. She enjoy's going on missions trips; she has been on trips to Bolivia, Cuba, and Guatemala. She am a pharmacist by profession so two of the trips were with medical teams but has also done children Bible Study camps and worship. "I love the Lord Jesus Christ and I try to live my life with him as a friend and close confidant, I hope you do too!"


Charlie Butters

Charlie met his wife, Ann while working at a restaurant in Wisconsin in 1979. They became Christians through the Campus Crusade for Christ ministry at the university they attended. Married in 1981, They lived in Wisconsin, then Illinois, then back to Wisconsin for 17 years until 2010 when a job change brought them out to Washington. Their 3 children are adults now. Ann enjoys working on the landscaping around their home and quilting. Charlie rides a Gold Wing as often as possible between house projects and his job. They have been attending LifePoint since 2015.
